Henna Doodles

Behold, my first attempt on hennaing my arm. I've got so much more to learn but it was so much fun to do! It's really relaxing and not that difficult. In my opinion the hardest thing to do is to find the right ratio between henna, lemon juice and water. I used fifty fifty but the consistency was too thick and rather quark like instead of yogurt. It was so bad that it clogged the tip of my cone.

Making the cone was like a trip down memory lane. When I was a child, my brothers owned their own PVC guns (1 large pipe, 1 short pipe and tape, 80's style) where they made paper arrows for. The cones were made of old rolled up leaflets and TV guides. A skill you never get rid of.
But I forgot to reinforce the whole thing with tape. So when I used it later on the stuff came dripping out. I made a few designs, wiped it away and made another few until I was quite pleased with the result.

Anyway these are the photos. I let it set for about 4 hours and the henna was completely dry and crumbled off by itself.
